All about the World
-in case there are still questions –
If all explanations of the world were set side by side and you could choose your favourite one, I would have to shout out:
Hang on – hang on – hang on!
I need to add something else. Listen to my explanation of the world before you decide. And you really should not make any decisions until after you have seen “All about the World”.
In “All about the World” the universe itself explains how the world was made, why it threw Reason out of what it created, why it regards Dream as a competitor, and about its other inventions before it came up with the fun idea of creating mankind.
“All about the World” is a play which sets a personal creation story against those of religion or myth, undermining them a little, and apart from that does what they all do – steals from the others.
Everybody comes from somewhere, even if they are a citizen of the world; that is why the music in this play, like me, comes from Austria. Zither and harmonica lines overlay the soundscape, above which historical folk music recordings occasionally stand out.
Ah, but we can free ourselves from this world by laughing at it, because the play widens the possibilities.
